The 2023 British Podcast Awards nominations have been revealed, and we’re proud to say the several of our Bespoke voices have made the cut! Take a look at all the productions below and find your next audio obsession. The awards ceremony is scheduled for the 28th September – good luck to all involved!

OLIVER TWIST | Starring BRIAN COX
The 19th century Dickens classic Oliver Twist is brought life in this immersive audio drama, executive produced by Academy-Award winning director Sam Mendes. Alongside a stellar cast including Daniel Kaluuya, Nicola Caughlin, and Paapa Essiedu, Bespoke’s BRIAN COX voices Fagin, a complex man shaped by a long life of poverty and desperation.
Brian is best known for his roles in Succession, The Bourne Trilogy, and Braveheart, where he has solidified his status as an acting powerhouse. His upcoming roles include Unsinkable and The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, and he has recently appeared in Santander’s Connections campaign.
Displaying remarkable versatility, Brian has lent his commanding voice to a diverse array of characters, ranging from Death in Good Omens to Conrad in Bob the Builder, and Augustus in The Sandman Act II. There is very little that Brian can’t turn his hand to!

INSIDE THE WORLD OF RALPH AND KATIE | Starring POOKY QUESNEL
Pooky Quesnel, along with co-star Leon Harrop, goes behind the scenes of Ralph and Katie, the spin-off series from ground-breaking BBC drama The A Word. In each episode, Pooky and Leon reflect on issues raised in the show, sharing their own personal stories with humour and warmth, and welcoming some special guests along the way.
Best known for her roles in The Larkins and The A Word, Pooky is also a series regular in ITV’s The Confessions of Frannie Langton. Beyond her television prowess, Pooky has garnered significant experience in the realm of video games, with roles in Watch Dogs: Legion, Diablo IV, and World of Warcraft.
Her versatility extends to documentaries, as shown in her narration of Channel 5’s production, Moors Murders: In Their Own Words. Pooky also featured in Audible’s immersive audio drama Hell Cats 2, alongside fellow Bespoke voice Erin Doherty.

Noiser's A SHORT HISTORY OF | Hosted by JOHN HOPKINS
One of our most prolific voice actors, John Hopkins hosts this weekly podcast from Noiser. Each episode covers a significant event or figure in history, from The Watergate Scandal to Muhammad Ali, and The Titanic to Albert Einstein. A Short History Of transports listeners back in time to witness history’s most incredible moments.
John has an extensive list of vocal credits including the Netflix animation Hilda, and standout roles in notable video games such as Final Fantasy XVI and Horizon Forbidden West. He also hosts two other immensely popular Noiser podcasts: Scotland Yard Confidential and Real Survival Stories.
A sought-after voice for audiobooks, John brings literary works to life. He has previously narrated works by Gytha Lodge and Max Hastings and has narrated the entirety of Caroline Graham’s Midsomer Murders series. John's extensive experience and captivating delivery make him an exceptional and engaging storyteller in every sense.
