BAFTA winning actor STEVE PEMBERTON is stepping on to the stage in the upcoming West End production of Martin McDonagh’s The Pillowman.


Following the interrogation of a writer after a string of murders seemingly resemble her short stories, this black comedy is not one to be missed. The play runs from the 12th June to the 2nd September at the Duke of York’s Theatre.



Steve Pemberton is best known for Psychoville and starring in The League of Gentlemen which he also co-created. His other TV credits include: Happy Valley, Killing Eve, Britannia and Good Omens as well as many others.





He has recently been seen on our screens in the long awaited, new series of Inside No. 9. Written and created by Steve and Reece Shearsmith, the BAFTA winning series follows a set of individual stories all taking place in one location with twisted tales and brilliantly comic writings that all lead back to the number ‘9’.



The series has received great critical acclaim since it began in 2014, winning a BAFTA for Scripted Comedy in 2021, a BAFTA Television Craft Award in 2018 and hailing Steve’s own BAFTA win for Best Male Performance in a Comedy in 2019.

The show is frequently praised for its star-studded cast with previous cast members including Anne Reid, Helen Monks, Fenella Woolgar, Zoë Wanamaker, Ioanna Kimbook, Lindsay Duncan, Julian GloverSiobhan Redmond and Simon Callow. The newest season also welcomes Bespoke’s Phil Daniels to the cast list.
