Happy Valley is back! Six years later, the hit BBC crime series is back on our screens, featuring the terrific DEREK RIDDELL as Richard Cawood, for its third and final series.
Derek has worked extensively in film and television and has recently been seen in Gentleman Jack and Industry. Previous credits include Action Team, Hard Sun, The Missing, and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
As a voice artist with Bespoke, Scottish actor Derek gives an energetic and powerful delivery. With a versatile range of characters, his voice work currently includes Beyond a Steel Sky, Dragon Age and The Last Story. Listen to his voice reels here.
Premiering on New Year’s Day to BBC One and BBC iPlayer, this new season follows Police Sergeant Catherine Cawood (Sarah Lancashire) and the murder of a gangland victim. The investigation resurfaces old faces from her past, including Derek’s character Richard, Cawood’s ex-husband.
Continued by show-writer Sally Wainwright, the series will span six episodes to conclude Cawood’s gritty story, featuring a face-to-face with nemesis Tommy Lee Royce, played by James Norton.
Happy Valley is available to watch on Sundays at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, with the final episode airing on Sunday 5th February 2023. The previous 2 seasons are available to watch on BBC iPlayer now.
