The long awaited release of new ITVX series NOLLY has finally ended!
The three-part drama is written by award winning Russell T Davies - best known for his work on Doctor Who and It’s A Sin - and stars BAFTA winning actor HELENA BONHAM CARTER as Noele Gordon, or as her friends know her – Nolly.
Known for her roles in The Kings Speech and The Wings of the Dove – both of which she was Academy Award nominated - Helena holds an extensive list of credits and awards for her acting career. As well as her iconic roles in Harry Potter and The Crown, Helena has gained a Golden Globe nomination and won an Evening Standard British Film Award for Best Actress for her performance as Mrs. Lovett in Tim Burton's 2009 screen adaptation Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
The series of NOLLY tells the story of Crossroads star Noele Gordon, who played the infamous red-haired Meg Mortimer in the popular soap opera that coined her as the ‘Queen of soap’. It follows her career as one of the most famous faces on British television in the 70/80s and the events following her axe from the long-standing show in 1981 after her 17 year long run. With BAFTA winning write Davis set to reveal all the secrets behind the story, Helena will star alongside Augustus Prew, Tony Adams, Mark Gatiss and Richard Lintern in this gripping new series.

THE REAL NOLLY
In addition to the gripping action, the series has also been released alongside a documentary entitled THE REAL NOLLY, available from the 2nd February and narrated by Helena herself. The film will discuss the life of Noele Gorden and her time on Crossroads as well as her life afterwards until she died in 1985. The documentary gives exclusive access to personal documents, never-before-seen pictures and interviews with those who knew her.
